Birko-Flor

Birko-Flor is a coated artificial felt used as an upper material in many Betula shoes. Birko-Flor is extremely robust and easy to care for and clean (surface-washable). Moreover, there is practically no limit to colours and patterns that can be achieved with this material.

Natural cork

Made from the bark of the cork tree, the basis for our Betula footbed is permanently elastic and shock-absorbent. Only highest quality cork is used for our natural cork footbeds.

Natural leather

Betula uses only leather resulting as a by-product of the livestock industry, ranging in thickness from 2 to 3 mm. Primarily suede leather is used for shoe linings. Minor deviations in colour and structure may arise as a result of the natural processing and quality of the material.

Synthetics

These products have been manufactured of synthetic fibres, in contrast to products made of natural fibres.

EVA

Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) is an extraordinarily flexible type of synthetic. EVA is more elastic, resilient and weather-resistant than most other synthetics. This material’s lightness and shock-absorbance are ideally suited to Betula’s wellness shoes.

Loden (70%)

Finest virgin wool, free of chemical additives. Water-repellent, temperatureregulating and stain-resistant. Gentle to the skin and extremely comfortable.

Textile

Shoes with upper materials made of textiles/fabrics.

EVA slipper soles

For delicate floorings take a look at the styles with special EVA slipper soles. The special EVA slipper sole protects delicate floorings.
