Quality Assurance Concept

The purpose of this concept is the establishment and safeguarding of optimum product quality through continuous control of the production process resulting in timely and faultless delivery of goods.

To achieve this goal quality standards, work processes and the roles of the function departments have been clearly defined.

Responsiblities

• Sales: responsible for range building and general customer enquiries.
• Purchasing: responsible for the procurement of goods and monitoring of delivery dates.
• Development: responsible for range assembly and sample procurement.
• Production: responsible for producing the range to the quality standards and delivery dates.

Quality Standards

• Regarding material quality standards: involves specifying materials to ensure quality standards.
• Regarding production engineering: involves the prescribed sequence of productionto delivery of the goods.
• Regarding product packaging: includes the instructions and wishes of customers.
• Regarding quality standards of delivery times: involves the observation of the given delivery dates.
• Quality standards affecting additional services: involving the clear definition of additional services (advertising materials, packaging etc).

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance is achieved by manufacturing, through checking and where necessary by correcting by confirmation samples prior to mass production as well as through checks on the goods during production and spot checks at outward delivery by the Quality Coordinator or external control body. Similarly, constant supplier assessments and checks with reference to product and delivery quality serve quality assurance as well as conformance with social and ecological standards.
As additional test and important control method alongside the aforementioned conformity with quality standards and the engagement of external control agencies, closer cooperation with independent test institutes has been established for the quality assurance of Betula products.
